Midday Seminar Week 2 - Politics in the Time of Oligarchy, Exploitation, and War
This seminar will explore the ways that the narrowing concentration of political power and the means of physical coercion are working against the struggle for democracy and human dignity. Readings will include works by Niccolo Machiavelli, Wendy Brown, Antonio Negri, Cornelius Castoriadis, and C. Wright Mills.
