Panels
Panels may be papers organised around a theme, roundtable discussion forums or book launches. All have similar requirements. Submit proposals for panels below.
Please note:
1. The Conference organisers will accept panels as presented but may, for reasons of logistics, have to add to panels of papers if absolutely necessary
2. Papers will only be accepted if they contain:
a. The name(s) of the proposer – the lead correspondent will be responsible for communication with their panel members
b. The e-mail of the lead correspondent. This will be used for all correspondence.
c. The names of all panel participants
d. The affiliations of panel participants as appropriate.
e. The title of the papers where it is a papers panel OR the title of the roundtable discussion OR the title of the book.
f. An abstract for each paper, where it is a paper panel of not more than 300 words OR a brief outline of the panel contents.
g. If you are submitting it to one of the streams of the conference, which stream you are submitting to (though the conference organisers reserve the right to allocate as seems most appropriate
h. Details of participation and particular any times/dates you cannot present. PLEASE NOTE, we will try to respect these constraints, but papers may be rejected where they are either going to be presented by someone attending the conference for just that purpose, or with very limited time availability given.
3. Those people proposing multiple participation, offering papers and participating in panels, should be aware that we would expect them to attend for most if not all of the conference, and may reject their engagement if they are only attending for their singular participations.
4. Whilst we recognise that panels can change in respect of personnel, acceptances are made for panels on two grounds, that the original proposal’s focus is met, and that there is a clear sense of what and who the panel involves. Vague proposals for panels are unlikely to be immediately accepted.
